A newspaper is a rough draft of a community. The Living Archive Series treats each page as a primary source worth the labor of restoration.
The process
- Source the cleanest surviving scan.
- Correct the optical read line by line.
- Preserve the original column logic and typography.
- Publish with the date and masthead intact.
